It's All About Gratitude
I want to say "Thank You" to my friend, Scott. He came by the house this evening to try and repair to our broken car window. If you recall, for a month now, our car window has been broken. We've had the door panel taken off, and the window suspended by a screwdriver. It was pretty Ghetto.
After disassembling the window regulator, it became obvious that the damage to the cables and pulleys was definitely caused by the force of someone trying to break in to our car (If you recall, we found full hand-prints on the window that day as well). Whoever wanted our car, came very close to getting their way. It was only by the grace of God it wasn't stolen.
Although we do in fact need a new regulator, Scott was able to put the assembly back together, so that the window was it it's "upright" position. A quick disconnect of the motor assembly and the door panel was reinstalled. The net result is a fully functional door; lock, speakers and handle, but a fixed window. I'll take it! This allows time for us to save up for the replacement parts, without the dangers of the rainy season flooding or causing mold to build up.
I'm so thankful that God put friends like Scott in my life!
1 Chronicles 29:13 (English Standard Version)
And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
Good Night
