Today was a pretty busy day! After a morning trip to the grocery store, my wife took our daughter to her horseback riding lesson. I stayed home and began performing some domestic duties while she was gone. Before long, everyone was home and it was time for lunch.
Afterward, my wife and I issued a couple of chores for the kids to perform, while we went to the church in order to help set up for the "Trunk or Treat" harvest party slated for tonight. After a quick setup and retrieval of the kids, it was off to our small group!
Finally, after some condensed (but amazing) fellowship with our dear friends, we all collectively went to the church for the "Trunk or Treat". It turned out better than we ever expected! Many creative trunks of cars and trucks, decked out with lights, pumpkins and of course, candy were present! Included were popcorn, coffee and cupcakes for the adults, while the children explored face painting, gold-fishing, field-goal kicking, arts and crafts and a bounce house. It was so much nicer than going door to door, and I think the kids had a lot more fun!
Many thanks to all of the volunteers who made this happen for the local kids! (You, too Mamasahn and Papasahn) I can't WAIT for next year!
Good Night
