The Rubber Is Meeting The Road

Since going all-in at the beginning of this month, the time has come to trust that the Lord will provide for the rest of the month. After a trip to Costco last weekend, there is food, but we're already tapped in terms of monetary resources this week. Our heart is in the right place, but fear and stress are trying to settle into my heart.

We have a few more weeks of the month to get through, and some other financial obligations to keep over the next few days. Things aren't adding up. We're standing on the Lord's promise to protect us and provide for our needs. He told us to test him in Malachi 3:10 and that's exactly what we're doing!

Malachi 3:10 (English Standard Version)

10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

I'm not sharing this situation with you for pity, attention, or to glorify our efforts, nor to "put it out there" to prompt human action. Things are tight, but we're being obedient to the Lord's instruction. We are already a blessed family and are trying to take the next step in obedience.

And, we want to unfold this for you step by step, as the rest of the month unfolds. My hope is that we can look back in a few weeks and see what God has done to pull us through.

He'll show up. God has to show up!

Good Night
