I don't want to. Not tonight.
It seems like we're on the never-ending treadmill of life. Get up early, go to work, come home and make sure dinner is on the table for the kids. Then it's off to making sure the kids' homework, chores and clean up are done. Before you know it, it's after 9:00 PM. By the time we're free to relax and do what we want, we're too tired to do anything, except crawl into bed and repeat the whole routine.
We're not finishing the month as strong as we'd hoped, either. I know we're blessed, but sometimes it's difficult to remember all of the great things in our lives, when we're focusing on our problems instead of the Lord (or the good things He's placed in our lives). Although I don't feel like it, let's think of at least three things we're thankful for.
1. I'm thankful that my salvation is not in question; I've accepted Jesus as my Lord. This can't be undone.
2. I'm thankful for the family the Lord blessed me with.
3. Even though things are pretty bleak for us right now, we have shelter, food and transportation. We might not have prosperity, but we have everything we need tonight.
Good Night
