Heading Up To OHSU In The Morning

Thanks to those of you who've prayed for me today. Tomorrow will begin at 6:00 AM, followed by a trip up to OHSU/Casey Eye Center, for my annual checkup. With my condition, I don't simply pop into a Binyon's or Lens Crafters for a 10 minute eye exam and a new pair of spectacles.

I meet with specialists whom carefully inspect my eccentric retinas, walk through acuity and field of view, then ultimately judge whether or not my vision is stable. Thankfully, the last few years have been solid. However, as my body begins to age, I ponder the future of my vision. How many years of quality eyesight do I have left? Will I be able to see my family through to my retirement? What will happen to my family, if something were to happen to my eyes?

What is God's plan? Hopefully, a long life, with full vision!

Good Night
