I'm Very Proud Of My Sons
Today, our boys met up with a family friend at our local Starbucks. They had their Bibles in tow and S.O.A.P. was on the agenda. The deal was if they showed up, our friend would buy drinks and they would all have a great time in their devotions.
S write down the portion of scripture you will journal on. This is usually a short section that you have underlined or marked as you were reading.
O write down your observations on the passage
A write down how you will apply this passage to your life today.
P write down a prayer to God about your experience today
I'm very proud of my sons. I truly love seeing all three of them spending time in the Word and talking about the lessons, stories and proverbs within it. I hope that the Lord calls each one of them to His purposes (and that they're ready to listen). God has certainly blessed me with such fine, upstanding young men.
Psalm 127:4 (New International Version)
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
Psalm 128:3 (New International Version)
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.
And for the proud grandparents who may be reading...
Proverbs 17:6 (New International Version)
Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.
Good Night
