Today was a pretty decent day. It was a joy to hang out with my beautiful wife this afternoon and church was great, too. The crowning jewel was the miracle of our truck, however.
After researching multi-thousand dollar solutions to our truck's "lowrider" issue (remember, the air ride suspension failed last week), we had arrived at an alternate solution; converting the troublesome air ride, to a passive, standard suspension system. That kit was much less expensive, but the irritant of that solution was that the warning light and sounds would remain. There was no way to suppress them once the kit was installed. Although the ride would be restored, this minor issue had me on the fence.
After tearing through forums, the Lord led me to tracing the issue down to a relay located under the hood, near the air compressor. A quick couple of phone calls and CarQuest had the $13 relay in stock. It was a gamble, but we had nothing to lose.
It worked. Within 5 minutes, I had the relay installed and the truck began to rise. The ride home was much more pleasant than the ride into town. A quick trip through the car wash and it's like we have a whole new vehicle. In the long run, we may end up going with the alternative kit, but for now, we're in good shape.
Thank you Jesus, for making this possible. Thank you for healing our car (and not destroying us financially). Amen.
