Profound Proverb
Have you ever wondered what some of the Proverbs mean? Many are straight-forward, and cut to the heart of the matter. Other verses require the reader to "chew" on them for awhile, in order to really process the layers of truth. I recently heard this verse through The Daily Audio Bible podcast, and it stuck with me throughout the day.
Proverbs 11:22 (Amplified Bible)
22As a ring of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman who is without discretion.
Likewise, a woman (or man, for that matter) who is "ugly" on the inside, will eventually show what they're made of, regardless of their external presentation. We must ensure that there is continuity between our "inner" and "outer" selves. We need to be authentic Christians, both inside and out. Anything less simply doesn't belong.
"Lord Jesus, please help us each day to be pure and blameless in thought and deed. Help us to hold each thought captive, to harness our tongues, and begin to live out a life of integrity that you've modeled for us. Amen."
Good Night

A lesson I am learning on a daily basis these days.. it's a great reminder that *I* can live with class and dignity even if those around me are lacking.
