I Feel So Foolish This Week

At various times this week, I've found myself swearing in certain situations. I'm not "cussing like a sailor", but I've let a few profane words fly as descriptors for stressful situations. I know better, and I'm ashamed. I also repent for my participation in workplace gossip; either telling, or hearing. It's not what an authentic Christian should participate in.

Lord, I'm sorry. I repent and regret my choices. It's not how you would have me live my life, nor does it set me apart as holy. Please forgive me. Amen.

Ephesians 4:29 (Amplified Bible)

Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it.

Titus 3:2 (Amplified Bible)

To slander or abuse or speak evil of no one, to avoid being contentious, to be forbearing (yielding, gentle, and conciliatory), and to show unqualified courtesy toward everybody.

Change has to start with me.

Good Night
